How we check
Last check 10 h ago · 321 sellers · 152,568 live listings.
Where the data comes from
We read the public catalogue that each shop publishes for browsers and search engines — the same products, prices and stock you see on their site. Most shops (Shopify and WooCommerce) publish a structured catalogue, so one visit reads the whole shop. For others we read the product pages listed in their sitemap.
How often
Shops with a structured catalogue and many live listings are checked every day; smaller ones every few days; shops we read page by page every week. If a shop changes a lot, we come back sooner; if it rarely changes, less often. Every listing shows when we last checked that shop — if it says “days ago”, confirm on the seller’s site.
Price per fish
We divide packs, pairs and trios by the number of animals (“1 pair” = 2, “10 pack” = 10) so you can compare. Shipping, box fees and taxes are not included — they vary by seller.
Species and varieties
We match each listing to a species using common and scientific names, and keep the seller’s variety name (e.g. “Red Alpha”, “Moscow Blue”). New species found in titles are added automatically and reviewed by a person. Spot a wrong match? Tell us and we fix it.
Ranking
Results are sorted by stock and price per fish. No seller can pay to change the normal order. If we ever show sponsored listings, they will be clearly labelled “Sponsored”.
What we don’t do
We don’t sell fish or take payments — you buy directly from the seller, under their policies and live-arrival guarantee. We don’t copy sellers’ photos or descriptions. We never list federally prohibited species, and we flag species restricted in some states.
